Grading of the tours:
Once we hear from you with your queries for Trekking or Driving Holidays to a particular region, we shall be pleased to send you the programme along with our grading!! All our tours are graded and should be taken as a guide line only. Our grades take into account a combination of the distance walked, the toughness of the terrain, the altitude, the remoteness, climate and the overall length of the whole tour and the degree of comfort to be expected. This all will be incorporated with our Itinerary sent to you.
When you are sending your queries,   please let us know what grade trekking holiday or Driving Holidays you are looking for.
In order to make it easier for you our holidays grading are as follows:
A - Easy: - For anyone of any age. Plenty of stops and time to enjoy the local scenery. The trip will not solely consist of walking each day but allowing time for sightseeing and touring the area using the transport.
B - Moderate: - For anyone who is a 'regular" hill walker and is looking forward walking on rugged terrain on longer stretches.
C - Fairly strenuous: - This is for the keen hill walker. Trekking is sustained, often involving high mountain passes, but still with plenty of time for rest and relaxation at the end.
D - Strenuous and at time challenging : - These trips are meant for real physically fit people with lots of experience in the high mountains and who are willing to rough it out under adverse conditions

A DOM defines the composition of documents that are created using a markup language. By
representing tags and attributes as objects and properties, the DOM lets programming languages
access and manipulate documents and their components.
The structure of an HTML document can be seen as a document tree. The root is the html tag,
and the two largest trunks are the head tag and the body tag. Offshoots of the head tag include
the title, style, script, isindex, base, meta, and link tags. Offshoots of the body tag
include headings (h1, h2, and so on), block-level elements (p, div, form, and so on), inline
elements (br, img, and so on), and other element types. Leaves on these offshoots include
attributes such as width, height, alt, and others.
In a DOM, the tree structure is preserved and presented as a hierarchy of parent nodes and child
nodes. The root node has no parent, and leaf nodes have no children. At each level within the
HTML structure, the HTML element can be exposed to JavaScript as a node. Using this
structure, you can access the document or any element within it.
In JavaScript, you can refer to any object in the document by name or by index. For example, if
a Submit button with the name or ID "myButton" is the second element in the first form in the
document, both of the following references to the button are valid:
• By name, as in document.myForm.myButton
• By index, as in document.forms[0].elements[1]
Objects with the same name, such as a group of radio buttons, are collapsed into an array. You
can access a particular object in the array by incrementing the index with zero as the origin (for
example, the first radio button with the name “myRadioGroup” inside a form called “myForm”
is referenced as document.myForm.myRadioGroup[0]).

The Himachal Pradesh Horticulture Services Association (Class-I) had prepared a comprehensive proposal for restructuring/reorganization of Department of Horticulture for its smooth functioning & to improve delivery of Citizen Centric Services in an effective and efficient manner at grass root level. The proposal was discussed during the review meeting of the department held on 28.05.2009 under the chairmanship of Hon’ble Chief Minister, Himachal Pradesh. The Chief Secretary, to the Government of Himachal Pradesh then desired that the proposal be put forth for consideration of the Government. The proposal was discussed threadbare with your good self, Principal Secretary (Horticulture) and Director of Horticulture by the Association during its meeting held on 09.07.2009 in your office chamber.

Sir, you had personally appreciated the efforts of the Association and the same was also endorsed by the Principal Secretary (Horticulture) and the Director of Horticulture and everyone agreed to the proposal. Thereafter, you directed the Director of Horticulture to send the proposal to the Govt. for further necessary action. The Director of Horticulture, Himachal Pradesh vide  letter No. 15-118/79-Udyan-I dated 16.09.2009 submitted the proposal for restructuring/reorganization of Department of Horticulture for consideration and approval of  the Govt.

The department of Finance raised certain queries on the restructuring proposal after six months period received through AD vide letter No. HTC-A (I) 5/99(Re-Org)-II dated 28.04.2011. The point wise reply of the same was resubmitted to the Govt. by the Director of Horticulture, Himachal Pradesh vide letter No.15-84/79-Udyan-I dated 02.06.2011(copy enclosed at Annexure-I). Again some queries were raised by the finance department which were received in the directorate through AD vide letter No. HTC-A (I) 5/99(Re-Org)-II dated 23.08.2011, the reply of which was given by the Director of Horticulture vide directorate letter No. 15-84/79-Udyan-I dated 08.09.2011 (copy enclosed at Annexure-II). Third time again some queries were raised by the Finance department which were received through AD vide letter No. HTC-A (I) 5/99(Re-Org)-II dated 01.11.2011.

Subsequently, the Principal Secretary (Horticulture) & Director of Horticulture made a detailed presentation before the Chief Secretary to the GOHP on 28.12.2011. The point wise reply of the issues raised and as extracted from the minutes of the above meeting regarding economy in Expenditure-Assessing manpower requirement was also forwarded to the Govt. by the Director of Horticulture vide directorate letter No. 15-20/2012-Udyan-I dated 30.03.2012 (copy enclosed at Annexure-III).

The Association apprehends that the finance department is tossing the restructuring proposal by putting queries one after other just to linger on the issue. There is no justification in the queries of the finance department as there is no financial burden/ implications on the State Govt. This proposal will also not involve any fresh recruitment/promotion etc. of the staff. It simply involves reorganized placements/postings of existing senior officers to the field level keeping in view the interest of the farming community. It is pertinent to mention here that the Department of Horticulture is functioning with 70% of the technical staff strength as compared to that of the Agriculture Department for the same operational area in the field. The restructuring proposal of the department has sole objective to bring out reforms based on the ‘Savottam Model’ for offering best services to the farming community of the State in more efficient manner. The proposed reorganization shall not achieve any personal gain for the departmental officers but would place more responsibility on them in discharging their duties.

Sir, your good self has assured  the Association many times to take prompt action on the proposal regarding restructuring of horticulture department, but nothing concrete has been done at any level so far. Keeping all the facts in view, Association, once again requests your goodself to kindly intervene in the matter personally & get the proposal for reorganization / restructuring of the department notified in the best interest of the farming community of the state.
